Manufactured by R&D Systems, the QBC Controls have been designed exclusively for use with the QBC Centrifugal Haematology Systems including the QBC Autoread Plus and QBC STAR.

The overall performance of QBC tubes, analyser, centrifuge, sample preparation and processing techniques are monitored.

The Controls contain stabilised mammalian red cells, white cells and simulated platelets in plasma-like fluid.

Monitors 7 parameters:

  • Haemoglobin (HB)
  • Haematocrit (Hct)
  • Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin Concentration (MCHC)
  • White Blood Cell Count (WBC)
  • Granulocytes (GRAN)
  • Lymphocyte/Monocyte Count (LY/MO)
  • Platelet Count (PLT)
