Woodley Equipment would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us to raise money for the CHINESE MOON BEARS!

Along with the Animals of Asia Foundation, Woodley Equipment Company helped to promote the Moon Bears plight throughout the run up to BSAVA, and during the exhibition.  Woodley Equipment Company will also continue to support this worthy cause in the future.

Woodley promoted the Moon Bear rescue project, with various advertisements published in the press prior to BSAVA, to raise awareness of the horrendous, grotesque, and torturous incarceration of the Moon Bears on Chinese bile farms, and to inform the public that Woodley Equipment are helping to raise funds for thses beautiful bears.

During the exhibition Woodley pledged to donate £50 for every in-practice analyser demo booked, and a further £50 for a sale resulting from a demo booked at congress.  Woodley gave away Moon Bear key rings to delegates in return for any donation towards this worthy cause.  Woodley, with the help and support of the delegates, managed to raise a considerable amount of money at BSAVA.  These funds are desperately needed to help the bears.

We are continuing our support at the BVNA and Vets Now Congresses late in 2008, to further raise awareness for the Chinese Moon Bear rescue project.

Together with the Animals of Asia Foundation, and on behalf of the Chinese Moon Bears, Woodley would like to say another massive THANK YOU to the delegates who made such generous contributions, and to everybody who has contributed in any way.  Thanks to those donations, the Animals of Asia Foundation will be able to help rescue other Chinese Moon Bears from the tiny metal cages they are confined in for life, with rusting metal catheters inserted in their abdomens to extract the bile.  This bile is used in traditional medicines, but is totally unnecessary, as synthetic and herbal alternatives are readlily available.

It is shocking and very distrubing, to realise what torture these wonderful creatures have to endure every day, but please take a few minutes to visit the website, www.animalsasia.org, where you can also learn of the wonderful work that the foundation does for these bears, and for other animals.
